Skype usage!

Hey guys, Rawren here! This page will give me a chance to talk to you a little about Skype and a possible method of applying Skype into your learning.

First and foremost, go through the steps and get yourself a Skype account. (Make sure you download the program, you'll obviously need that too)

Once you've set up an account, you can begin to add your fellow classmates (and maybe even lecturers!) to your contacts list. As this list begins to grow, you can double the person's name and the program will display another screen allowing you to IM (Instant-message) that person and vice versa. This is the most basic and easiest form of chat you can have with another person via Skype.

Another method you can use is video-calling. You and your colleague have a microphone and a webcam? Well then, you can jump onto a video and show each other your work and talk as if you were in the very same room! This can be useful if you're more comfortable talking then you are typing.

Lastly, once your contacts list begins to grow, you can host rather large video calls! Or as some people like to call it, a study group!
